Full On Ferry – The Masquerade, the line up & trailer online!

On Saturday, November 1st, 2008, one of the most successful parties of 2007 is making a comeback . On that day, the Ahoy' in Rotterdam will be the home of Ferry Corsten's Full On Ferry: The Masquerade; a dazzling show on an immense scale, with loads of new, spectacular surprises in which both the artists and the audience will appear in beautiful Venetian masks. These masks symbolise the different styles of music that will be blended together during this night.

In the centre of this unique event will be non other than one of the most highly regarded artists of his generation; DJ/Producer International superstar, Ferry Corsten. Throughout his nine hour set, people can expect to be blown away with his signature trance sound combined with various influences from the most diverse currents such as progressive, electro and house. The audience will experience a magical musical journey through the best that dance music has to offer.

Similar to last year, Ferry has once again invited some of the most highly regarded and most inspiring artists to appear alongside him for a series of spectacular back-2-back sessions.

These artists were personally handpicked by Ferry himself as they are the frontliners of their respective genres of music and like Ferry , love to share great music with a wonderful crowd.

The line-up for the night is as follows;

Sander van Doorn
No one today has reached star status as quickly as DJ/Producer Sander van Doorn. As a DJ, he became legendary during the Judgement Sunday evenings on Ibiza, his residency in London for The Gallery evenings, and last summer when he turned a magical set for Carl Cox at Dance Valley. As a producer he also scored an unbelievable series of dance floor hits like By Any Demand, Riff and the amazing remix of Sia's The Girl You Lost To Cocaine; all tracks on his debut album Supernatural.

Ferry: "Sander is really a high-quality producer, with a good, energetic sound. As a DJ he can also mix very diverse styles together well. I'm really happy that he'll be there, because he is the next big thing in the Netherlands."

Eddie Halliwell
One of the most energetic DJs at the moment, Eddie Halliwell can pack any dance floor in the world with his amazing, uplifting sound. There is a reason why DJ Mag chose Eddie as "DJ of the Year" not once but twice, and Pioneer has appointed him as their ambassador for the new generation of CDJs.

Ferry: "The Master of the Tricks! Give this turntable wizard a few CD players, a mixer and some thumping disks and you will be absolutely amazed at what you hear. A very inspiring DJ."

Lange
With ten years of experience, Lange has not only built up an immense legion of fans, but has also earned a fixed spot among the trance elite. He has produced a long series of influential recordings while continuously innovating and refining his raw electro style and angelic melodies. He made quite an impression as a DJ with his legendary sets at Global Gathering, Creamfields, Zurich Street Parade and club nights at Godskitchen, Ministry Of Sound and Gatecrasher.

Ferry: "Lange is a very good producer who has been working in the scene for a very long time. I regularly turn tracks by Lange in my sets. But he is also very good as a DJ with sets that range from electro to trance."

Solarstone
After Solarstone's debut with his classic The Calling in 1997, he quickly grew to become one of the most influential people in the dance scene. His warm and innovative sound carried him to every corner of the globe as a DJ. Solarstone - the pseudonym of Rich Mowatt - is also co-owner of the prestigious Deepblue Records label as well as the host of the Deepblue Radio Show, which is broadcast on more than 40 FM and Web Radio stations around the world, reaching a public in the millions.

Ferry: "He's one of my personal heroes when it comes to trance music. He is known by a whole lot of pseudonyms, but all of his tracks have the same warm, progressive sound."

Marcus Schössow
This Swedish prodigy released his first record when he was only sixteen years old. He has given trance music a strong new impulse with a very innovative, completely unique sound, as he recently proved at Dance Valley. As a producer, he is better known from his collaboration with Sebastian Brandt in Under Sun. Together, they are responsible for a series of very successful tracks and remixes such as Capoeira and Captured.

Ferry: "Marcus is someone who has been able to formulate his very own style within trance, and you often hear references to the Schössow sound. This special sound can best be described as 'minimal progressive trance'."

Sidney Samson
Sidney began turning R&B and Hip-Hop records at fourteen, and completely switched to house music in 1999. He broke through to a wider audience when he became the resident DJ of the Exxellent evenings in The Matrixx in 2003. Since then he has become one of the Netherlands' most-booked DJs and is known for his warm and ever-energetic sets.
As a producer, Sidney Samson had a big hit last year with It's All Funked Up and before that under the name of Don & Johnson with his club hit Bring That Beat Back.

Ferry: "I'm so crazy about that real Dutch house sound, and no one can lay it down like Sidney Samson. He's a very good DJ, but also a very talented producer. His last single Pump Up The Stereo is really doing well."
The latest chart from iTunes puts the new compilation by Armada's wonder boy at NUMBER 1, just 2 days after it was released!

Armada At Ibiza, mixed by Markus Schulz is riding high, just like the man himself and yet again adds testament to the Berlin born, American living jock's rising success as a DJ and production master!

Markus, currently on a massive world tour said: "That's incredible news, at a time when compilations are fighting for their pitch, and especially with so much coming out of Ibiza, I'm totally stoked. I tried to make my CD different from the norm, and I guess today I can rest knowing it's kind of worked."

Miss Nine - Dancefloor Sessions

In the heavily male dominated DJ market, it is rare to find a female DJ who can create a huge impact on the scene in a short amount of time. Miss Nine has not only been able to outshine and make her presence known in such a world, but she has done so all within four years of picking up a record. With her eclectic taste in music, ranging from energetic grooves with plenty of vocals to a deeper, progressive sound, Miss Nine is sure to turn heads and move feet anywhere she performs.

Kristin Schrot began her career, not as a deejay, but as a model. At 16, she made it to the finals of one of the largest modelling pageants in Germany, and soon after secured a worldwide contract with Elite Model Management. Longing for more, her passion for music led Kristin to move to Amsterdam where she dubbed herself Miss Nine and began pursuing a career in the electronic industry. At the end of 2005, Miss Nine was asked to join Bullitt Bookings, the reputable agency of A-list deejays such as Deep Dish, Nic Fanciulli, and Danny Howells. Miss Nine performs around the world, spinning at clubs such as Pacha in Ibiza, Space in Miami, Avalon in LA, Crobar in New York, and Ministry of Sound in London, with her fan base multiplying by the minute.

Miss Nine is the first female to mix a compilation for Washington-based Yoshitoshi Recordings. The highly anticipated Yoshitoshi Ibiza mixed by Miss Nine (YRCDLP15) was released in September 2006. Less than four months later the album reached the highest position at the iTunes Dance Album Chart in the USA: number 1!

Being asked by Armada to mix a double album for their Dancefloor Sessions series was a big honour for Miss Nine. Miss Nine created an album full of energetic progressive house tunes.

Miss Nine about the cd’s: “You can listen to CD 1all day long. It is an uplifting journey through progressive house music. After you are warmed up, you have to put in CD 2 for a more clubby sound. You can expect my true sound like I am performing a primetime DJ set.”
The dance arena of the Danish festival was closed following an unprecedented influx of fans. Security closed the arena after Le Grand had played just one record.
Roskilde officials were on high alert following a previous incident that cost the lives of two festival goers. In this instance organisers spotted the problem early and acted quickly in the interest of security.

Fedde described the scenes, in which amazingly no one was hurt, as "terrifying to watch".
Le Grand returned to the stage after a 45 minute break to resume his set under stricter security controls.
